What is the general feeling on the name Lucy?

It's the only name DP and I can agree on. But as our DD1 has a fairly unusual name it feels a little boring in comparison.

It was our girls name the last time but we had a boy. I like it.

Personally I find it a bit meh. Rather dull, but if you like it thats all that matters.

The European spelling Lucie makes if look a bit prettier I think but having an awkward spelling can get annoying.
Lovely name though!

It's my name.

It's Fucking boring and frequently misspelled/misheard. It's inflexible.

I wish I'd been called something else.

Hmm, mixed reaction.

We have a long complicated surname hence wanting a short first name. I just wish we could find one we both equally loved.

Of course, I could have a boy and all this worry will have been for nothing!

Love it.

DS would have been called Lucy had he not been a boy.

It's fine. I feel like it's a bit of a 'waste' of the opportunity? God, that's horrid, but maybe I mean it's a bit bland. If you love it or have a real connection to it, then go for it! Smile

There are five lucys in dc's class at school. Two even have the same surname. I think it's pretty but ever so common

Lovely and surprisingly under used. Not a single Lucy at my son's school! It's the name of our DD2. Delicious, sweet name.

Prefer Lucy to Lucinda.
