What do you think about this name?

emotionsecho Thu 30-Jul-15 16:06:08

I think it's lovely, one of my favourite names.

GrizzlebertGrumbledink Thu 30-Jul-15 16:12:45

It makes the Wizadora theme tune play in my head...

Bellsnwhistles Thu 30-Jul-15 16:14:43

What a lovely name!

Asuperwittyquip Thu 30-Jul-15 16:21:05

The same as grizzlebert but once you get past that, or if you have no idea who or what Wizadora is then its a lovely name.

Wishful80sMontage Thu 30-Jul-15 16:22:00

I like it but yes it does remind me of wizadora smile

LagartijaNick Thu 30-Jul-15 16:23:08

Isadora Duncan, dancer who died when her scarf got caught in the wheels of a car she was travelling in.

MamaLazarou Thu 30-Jul-15 16:28:27

Isadora, we adore her! Sorry, it's Wizadora for me, too.

HelenF35 Thu 30-Jul-15 17:26:45

Wizadora for me also I'm afraid.

Letsallgotobed Thu 30-Jul-15 17:29:23

Makes me wonder when Tatty Bogle will be popping in

Lunastarfish Thu 30-Jul-15 17:31:51

It's a pretty name but again I now have the Wizadora song stuck in my head....

CityDweller Thu 30-Jul-15 17:36:43

Makes me think of someone saying 'it's-a-door-a' in a fake Italian accent!

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost Thu 30-Jul-15 17:57:58

Awful sorry.

Dismalfuckers Thu 30-Jul-15 17:59:27

Beautiful, but a lot of pressure - got to be willowy and graceful, with a perfect profile smile

Oddpet Thu 30-Jul-15 18:20:34

Yep Wizadora here too, nn Dora the explorer?! Sorry I can't get past those associations blush

aoife24 Thu 30-Jul-15 18:23:42

I think it's lovely. I've never heard of Wizadora.

KleineDracheKokosnuss Thu 30-Jul-15 18:25:57

I love it.nearly used it for Dd.

Marcipex Thu 30-Jul-15 18:29:40

Lovely name.

sweetpeame Thu 30-Jul-15 18:47:59

Like the "Isa" part but not the "Dora", so it's a no from me. Starts off pretty but ends badly!

reuset Thu 30-Jul-15 18:55:43

It's ok, but I'm not wild about it. And I know it's from a proper name but it always looks messy and cobbled together like an historic building with later additions and alterations.

reuset Thu 30-Jul-15 18:58:01

Duncan wouldn't put me off, though. Not many people nowadays can be aware of her or her tragic life (she lost her children in a freak accident before that etc) or her contribution to modern dance

villainousbroodmare Thu 30-Jul-15 19:02:56

I like it. I know a v nice Isadore (male).

IsadoraQuagmire Thu 30-Jul-15 21:47:19

I thought everyone would know all about Isadora Duncan (and, of course, that's why Lemony Snicket's Quagmire Triplets are named Isadora and Duncan)
Never heard of Wizardora however...

HolidayHeidi Thu 30-Jul-15 21:52:33

Makes me think of isadora Duncan but for what she brought to ballet as opposed to her tragic end. I like it....I think.

Sophronia Thu 30-Jul-15 23:05:04

I prefer Isidora, which is the original spelling.
