I really like it! Miri would make a nice nickname. I would probably spell it Mirabel although I think Mirabelle is a perfectly nice spelling.

It sounds a bit like miserable. I adore Maybelle Mabel

How is it pronounced?
Myra belle
Meera belle
Mirra belle?

I think it's beautiful. Picking up on Benchmark 's comment, take into account that it could be misspelled by others. (I would say either Mirabel or Mirabelle would be the default spellings). However, having your name misspelled is a pretty common "hazard", regardless of the name itself!

Sorry I think it sounds like the name of a cheap seaside hotel!

Yes, NotAQueef is right , it sounds like somewhere you might stay at on holiday.
As a girl's name I think it sounds rather twee.

It's a bit frilly for my tastes and reminds me of the kids' TV programme Mama Mirabel's Home Movies.

What about Amabel, or Mabel? Meryl? Merryn?

It's a fruit isn't it? Not a bad thing I suppose. I think there are worse names about.

I think it's lovely and a great alternative to the popular Isabelle and Annabelle. I like it spelled Mirabelle with the nn Mira or Miri.

I think of the Mirabelle gardens in Salzburg of The Sound Of Music fame, and of the little apricotty fruit.

I think it is quite a nice name, - less twee than Annabel, less popular than Isabel, prettier than Mabel, less pretentious than Christabel, and without the Thomas the Tank Engine connotations of Clarabel.
Miriam and Mireille are also possible alternatives?

I also prefer the Mirabel spelling.

I'd pronounce it Mirror Bell - I think there is a book by Julia Donaldson or someone called Princess Mirror Belle actually.

Nickname could be Mirry or Mira.

I like Mirabelle, also Miriam and Miranda.

How about Mimi as a nickname?

It's pretty. Reminds me of an awesome skiing resort.

There's no nice or horrible names are there. It's all about your own preference. I mean it wouldn't be one of my name's even if I was graced with 20 girls, but if you like it go for it

I like Mirabel, and also Maribel (the name of a Spanish colleague of mine£

Yes, I like it. I think of mirabelle plums. I would choose the simpler spelling of Mirabel.

I'd choose the simpler spelling as otherwise I think of ( rather good) jam. But it means wonder at beauty, which is pretty.

I love it! I have an aunt called Mirabelle. Pronounced mirra-belle. I think it's beautiful and a less common alternative to Isabelle/Annabelle. My aunt goes by Belle or Bow but I'd choose Miri or Mimi as a cute, less popular nn.

I prefer it spelled Mirabel. A friend of mine used it as her DD's middle name & I thought it was unusual & very pretty.

I like the sound of it. It just looks a bit frilly written down! Confused
I like Miriam too. I prefer Maribel though. Maribel looks better (simpler) written down.

oh yeh, spell it Mirabel. That's more elegant.
