Will use nn Penny but will have two middle names very close to our hearts that I think flows better altogether with the longer Penelope. The middle names are
Johanna Bridget

What do you think? Smile

Oh I love Poppy too but we are in Scotland and for some weird reason I'm not sure I like the way it sounds in our accent BlushConfused I don't know what it is maybe the harshness of it ? Tbh I think the Scottish accent ruins some beautiful names .

I love it, my friend has a Penelope that is called Penny. She considered Nell or Nellie as nn too.

Very nice name, not too common or unusual. Penny is a very cute nickname.

I love it. I wanted to name my daughter it over a year ago. I didn't get so many positive response here on MN as you have now! I didn't get great reapers in RL either. Looking back I wish wish wish I had be brave enough to go for it.

Floaty that's the way I feel with DSs name . We named him a fairly popular name but I had originally wanted a similar but very unusual name , which actually would have had a family connection , but didn't because I didn't get a positive response and my dad said it sounded like a child trying to say a certain girls name and can't pronounce it properly HmmSad

This time I'm not telling anyone our names until baby is here and named (apart from MN obvs GrinWink)

I'm due in October op!

Dh chose the name when we first started trying for a baby, and we have loved it ever since. If we have a girl her full name will be Penelope Marie
