How many Eva's do you know?

So after many months of debate DH and I have got a shortlist for DD due in 3 weeks. Eva is top of the list but we have been warned off it due to popularity. We never wanted a top 10 name and on last ONS stats it was 26.

So it would be great to get a feel for how popular it really is now. How many do you know, what age are they and what area do you live in?

Im in Greater Manchester I know 1 who is nearly 2 I think and its my daughters middle name (we chose it after I went into labour on Christmas eve)
I think it's a lovely name. My mum wanted to call my sister Eva, but she already had an Adam.

I know two, both lovely. I prefer it a little more to Ava and Evie, which there are about ten of each all under 5 locally.

None. Personally, but everywhere I go I hear mums shouting. Eva Evie Ava, so yes very over used. If that bothers you.

3 Eva's
3 Aoibhean's (Aveen)
1 Evie
2 Ava's

In Ireland (rural too)

I'd say it's quite popular though really trying to avoid popular names is difficult. I named my now teen DD a fairly unusual name at the time - it is now in the top 10. She has never met another around her age but there are several at the playschool where I work.

2 x Eva
1 x Eve
3 x Evie
2 x Ava

aged between 1 and 6

They're nice names though.

My DD is an Eva. I had always wanted to call my daughter Eva - it wasn't as popular when she was born in 2008 but I don't regret choosing it and still love it. I have only ever met 2 others though - I am in the South East.
