ChippyMinton Tue 07-Jul-15 12:43:51

I agree with you grin

SwedishEdith Tue 07-Jul-15 12:44:45

Did Fitzroy used to be Finistere? That'd work.

lovesmycake Tue 07-Jul-15 12:48:06

Dover for a girl and Portland for a boy

IReallyAmHephzibah Tue 07-Jul-15 12:50:34

00100001 Tue 07-Jul-15 12:54:45

Well, I suppose Bailey and Shannon are already names... smile

GiddyOnZackHunt Tue 07-Jul-15 12:54:59

Cromarty for a boy. Lundy for a girl.

BlueChampagne Tue 07-Jul-15 13:22:57

Went to a wedding when one of the groom's middle names was Malin.

reuset Tue 07-Jul-15 13:24:18

Ok, if I had to I'd go all out and choose Southeast Iceland. grin

reuset Tue 07-Jul-15 13:25:25

Cromarty has a pleasant ring to it actually... Hmm

scandichick Tue 07-Jul-15 13:28:04

Malin is a real Swedish name (for a girl, though), as is Viking - but I'd go for Fitzroy grin

BikeRunSki Tue 07-Jul-15 13:35:16

DS's nn amongst his cousins is Viking! (He is tall and blonde, lots of Celtic genes; they are tiny and dark).

I now want b/g twins called Cromarty and Malin!

BikeRunSki Tue 07-Jul-15 13:36:45

Although if I called a child/pet Malin, it would be assumed I'd named them after a part of Sheffield.

SunnyBaudelaire Tue 07-Jul-15 13:40:03

Sole for a girl and Wight for a boy....but seriously?

Shannon
Fitzroy
Bailey

Sophronia Tue 07-Jul-15 14:38:15

Malin for a girl and Tyne or Shannon for a boy.

FraggleHair Tue 07-Jul-15 15:30:42

Dogger is more suitable for an adult.

cosmicglittergirl Tue 07-Jul-15 15:30:50

Forth for a boy.
Mailin for a girl.

NinjaLeprechaun Tue 07-Jul-15 15:34:49

"Forth for a boy."
Only if he had three older brothers.

ElviraCondomine Tue 07-Jul-15 15:46:33

Tyne for a girl, surely -for those of us old enough to have loved Cagney and Lacey.

FraggleHair Tue 07-Jul-15 15:47:20

Oh I love Tyne Daly!

Mrsfrumble Tue 07-Jul-15 16:13:00

Malin for a girl is actually really pretty, isn't it?

Viking for a boy. Especially if he was a redhead like DS.

BothEndsBurning Tue 07-Jul-15 20:16:35

Dogger really would be rather unfortunate grin

TheCowThatLaughs Tue 07-Jul-15 20:27:42

I know someone called Malin. I always thought it was American

RiverTam Tue 07-Jul-15 20:28:47

Finisterre. I don't care if it's not a shipping region any more, it's skeays been my favourite.

Fridgedooropen Tue 07-Jul-15 20:37:22

Yes, Tyne for a girl after Tyne Daly! Would love a daughter named after a kick ass role model like Mary Beth Lacey.

Think it'd have to be Viking for a boy.
