Baby names

Rosa or Clara? Or something else?

So, we've found out we're expecting a girl. She's due in a couple of months but we're still not decided on a name... We want something that's easy to spell/pronounce, is a recognisable name but that there's unlikely to be another in her class. Top two contenders are Rosa and Clara. Rosa's probably my favourite but worried it might be about to become too popular here (London), especially considering all the other Ros- names about. What do your think?

Both gorgeous names, Clara is especially lovely, would be on my list if I were having any more (which I will not be!) congrats and good luck

Rosa!! But I'm biased, DD is Rosa.

Actually I love Clara too.

I love Clara!

Laura? Naomi? Lauren? Melissa? Seren?

Also, DS is Frederick (Freddie), DH thinks maybe Freddie and Clara is a bit Germanic (not that there's anything wrong with that obviously, we're just not German...)

Rosa is lovely but Clara reminds me of a cat for some reason?

Both are lovely. I just prefer Clara.
Cora?

I like them both. How about Suki?

Both gorgeous! Clara probably the safest bet if you don't want too many others around but go with your gut feel.

My cat is called Clara! Rose is too popular/'in' for me, that one is off my list for that reason alone... But I am biased in favour of Clara anyway.

I knew Clara had a catsnameness to it! Definitely Rosa, it's classy n way less common than Rose.

I think Rosa is actually more popular than Clara. I prefer Rosa.

Sorry - that should read Clara is more popular than Rosa!

I have a Clara. The name does seem to be getting a lot more popular though.

Much prefer Rosa, although like Rosanna more and then you have option of nn Anna if you feel there are too many Ros names around.

Oh they're both very elegant.
If you can't decide. How about Clara-Rose. I know you said Rosa but Clara-Rosa wouldn't really flow

Clara. Though I like Rosa too

Love both. I think Rosa just wins for me but by hardly anything.

I vote Clara, but am biased as I have a Clara. Rosa is also a good choice and was on our list for Clara. You have good taste.

Our other DD is Eliza, if you're looking for any more inspiration.
