I kind of like it but it makes me think of the character in the first series of American Horror Story who, on the whole, I probably wouldn't want to associate a new born baby with. But if you haven't seen it then crack on!

I quite like it.

It's a shipper name in the fandom I'm part of (NCIS) so it makes me think of two of the characters.

I love it actually.

However, very similar to Nate (and nicknames of Nathaniel and Nathan) which are currently very popular. Its likely to get mistaken.

And I can't help but think of Tate and Lyle. I don't think its a bad association, but it is one to be aware of.

I think it's trying too hard to choose an usual name. Nate is nice though.

Another one that thinks American Horror Story, but otherwise it's a lovely name!

I quite like it. I can imagine a cute toddler and a cool teen, even though I prefer more traditional names generally.

I like it but have seen it as a girls name as well if that bothers you. But yeah it's a cool name, I would see it fitting a trendy toddler.

American Horror Story.
Or the art museum

Sorry Blush

How about Blake, Obie, Otto or Aran?

What on God's earth is a "trendy" toddler? Tate is bloody awful, and wouldn't make him any trendier than calling him Brian...

Might out myself here but we had a teacher at my secondary school whose nickname was tit-less Tate (what cruel things children can say!)So I forever associate the name with that.

Hate it. Doesn't sound like a name, for a human anyway

Sounds more like a surname than a Christian name to me! But then I only really like traditional names so what do I know? You choose a name that you like and think you'll still like in 20 years.

I think of Tate and Lyle too, although I did grow up down the road from the factory, so it may just be because I saw it every day.
