I know 3 primary age Ethans in one school.

MollieCoddler Fri 12-Jun-15 19:47:21

It sounds unusual but I think it is fairly high on the statistics

tumbletumble Fri 12-Jun-15 19:48:29

There are two Ethans in my DC's medium sized mixed primary school

zen1 Fri 12-Jun-15 19:52:14

There was one Ethan in DS1s class in primary school (he's now 12). There are 2 in DS3s class (he's 6). It is quite a popular name where we are.

RedToothBrush Fri 12-Jun-15 19:52:46

It was 14th in the last bunch of baby name stats.

It probably has just peaked, but it liable to be popular still for a while.

I know at least 5 under 4 years old. It is very popular round here

daisydalrymple Fri 12-Jun-15 19:58:02

There's at least one per year at our primary school, but it's a lovely name so not surprising.

LovelyWeatherForDucks Fri 12-Jun-15 20:11:35

Popular here, I know of a toddler one, a newborn one and a primary age one.

DustWitch Fri 12-Jun-15 20:18:34

DS was very nearly Ethan, it's now his middle name. It's a great name! It's fairly common around here though, I know two other Ethans aged 4 and 7.

shatteredstudentmum Fri 12-Jun-15 20:48:25

I know 2, one is my DS (5) and one in my nursery class

monkeyfacegrace Fri 12-Jun-15 20:49:39

We are overrun with them.

applecatchers36 Fri 12-Jun-15 20:52:06

Know a few agree it's pretty popular

Rhubarbgarden Fri 12-Jun-15 21:59:56

Don't know any and I live in London! I like it.

PallasCat Fri 12-Jun-15 22:31:50

Great name, but I know of three or four in one school.

fionadal Sat 13-Jun-15 19:50:55

I know several, but think it's on a downward trend, being fast replaced by Toby, Theo and Reuben!

Creatureofthenight Sat 13-Jun-15 19:54:47

I know 2 born in last 12 months.

MamaLazarou Sat 13-Jun-15 19:59:57

I know 3 baby Ethans. Faddy and so will date very quickly.

ButterflyOfFreedom Sat 13-Jun-15 20:03:58

I know of two - aged 2 and 4.

hawkmcqueen Sat 13-Jun-15 21:07:52

I know one who is turning 16

Actually, I do believe that Ethan is a very common name, though if you were to spell it differently it would make it not so common. Here are some suggestions in case you decide to put it in your list.
Ethen
Ethin
Ethyn
Eathan
Eithen

It was nearly ds 1s name 7 years ago. But the midwife who saved his life, chose a different name from the list!
I knew one in the UK and one here.
