I like Sam.

Benedict. Could be known day to day as Ben or Ned

HairyMcMary Tue 09-Jun-15 20:15:14

Not Rupert, for me.

Benedict offers good shortened versions, or not as you prefer
Ditto Fred instead of Freddie - which might sound too childish in adulthood
Sam: nice.

Benedict but also like Rupert. Too many Sams and Freddie's although I do like Fred or Frederick.

Freddie's alright. Hate Sam.

PurpleDaisies Tue 09-Jun-15 20:24:31

Sam. Don't like the others at all. Which is your favourite op? Has your partner got a preference?

fionadal Tue 09-Jun-15 21:02:18

All nice apart from Rupert!

Sam - short for Samuel? Rather dull.
Rupert - awful.
Benedict - don't like. I know one and he gets Ben all the time anyway. Benjamin much nicer.
Freddie - yikes no. Short for Frederick? In the same awful vein as Alfie, Archie, Charlie, etc etc.

HainaultViaNewburyPark Tue 09-Jun-15 21:36:15

I love Rupert and Benedict.

sweetpeame Tue 09-Jun-15 22:34:34

Like Benedict most from your list, could use Ben as a nn and it's more interesting than Benjamin.

wiltingfast Tue 09-Jun-15 22:39:38

Sam or Freddie grin

ChewyGiraffe Tue 09-Jun-15 22:51:13

I like Rupert best. I know a dog called Freddie, so that puts me off it (not v helpful I know). I don't really like unisex names like Sam (Chris, Alex, that sort of thing). And Benedict would probably be 'Ben', which is OK, but a bit plain I think.

CarriMarie Tue 09-Jun-15 23:24:48

Samuel or Benedict.
