We're only 20 weeks pregnant so early days for names but I'm completely uninspired... Don't know gender so names for both sexes would be great. Nothing ending in a y/ie sound as surname ends in ey. Nothing too out there but also looking for a name that's different enough that the kid won't be one of 3 in their class..
Hope this isn't being too picky Eeek!

I know a Willow with a sister Scarlett.

I know a Willow with a sister Aoife.

You could go for another nature name, although maybe not another tree. How about River, Autumn, Primrose, Iris?

For boys, Willow makes me think of Xander and I think the cultural reference is a bit obscure nowadays!

AwfulBeryl Thu 28-May-15 20:42:18

I know a Willow and India, both lovely names.
How about Skye, Seren, Astrid, Faye, Rowan or Saffron for girls.
Or Dylan, Rudy, Zack, Jago or Sol for boys.

I have a Willow. Her sister is Saffron smile

Radish9 Thu 28-May-15 21:06:44

Wow Noisy, Willow and Saffron are just awesome!
Our DS was going to be Willow (obviously he's not though, we never did get to use it!).

How about Willow and Nancy?

WesleySnipes Thu 28-May-15 21:06:46

Oh, Saffron is lovely!

Willow and Rufus
Willow and Luke
Willow and Blake

Willow and Maeve
Willow and Sasha
Willow and Sorrel

Some lovely suggestions! Love Rowan, Robyn and rufus! Saffron and India are both lovely too but willow has friends with those names. Would nell be short for something? X

Pikkewyn Thu 28-May-15 22:16:53

I know a Willow, her brother is Benedict and her sister is Hester.

Zzzsnatcher Thu 28-May-15 22:27:22

Initially thought Eve and Jack, then read your post re popularity so...

Niamh (did you see what I did there wink)
Astrid (as pp suggested)
India (does it really matter if your DD has a friend with that name?)
Phoebe (they both sound similarly nice to my ears)

Flynn (hmmm, bit of a theme emerging here)

How about:

Ruedewakening Thu 28-May-15 22:58:17

I know a Willow with a brother called Storm.

RoganJosh Thu 28-May-15 23:03:21

My instant reaction was Rowan. Maybe a bit matchy though.

Nell is short for Helen Helena or Penelope. Can't think of any more. Love Willow and Nell.

Radish9 Fri 29-May-15 06:38:10

Nell could be short for Eleanor (also a lovely name but the Nell nickname would have to be strictly enforced for fear of her becoming another 'Ellie').

EmpressOfJurisfiction Fri 29-May-15 06:40:49

It's got to be Xander or Tara really.

ShadowFire Fri 29-May-15 06:42:13

Another vote for Xander or Tara.

clmustard Fri 29-May-15 07:22:53

Xander or tara and you would have to be heavy buffy fans!

Stoppissingonthefloor Fri 29-May-15 13:09:05

Wouldn't really want to use a name like India since we already know one and see her regularly. Might be different if she had a common name like Ella or Sophie.
I didn't even realise there was a character in buffy called willow until we named dd and so many people that's where we found the name..

Hazel or Iris
Sol or Caleb
