Patrick-how many do you know?

I love this name and have never met a little one named it.
But I've also never met a little Henry or Reuben and apparently these names are v popular.

So IRL how many little Patricks do you know?

I think in Ireland it's the law that every family has to have one. Wink

I have also known a handful of Henrys who are all in their late teens or early twenties, but I am aware that is now super-popular for babies. Don't know any Reubens.

Two. One aged 26, and another about 18. Both get shortened to Pat, though.

I know one in his 30s known as Ricky. I like it. It was on the shortlist when naming DS.

I have one. He's 14. There's one the year above him at school, but that's the first one he's come across outside Iteland. Lovely. Lovely name. My only sadness is that the second he was old enough he rejected the cutesy shortenings we used when he was small and insisted on his whole name.

I don't move in baby circles so can't say whether there are any young Patricks in SE London currently! My son who is 21 had a Patrick in his year at school (Irish family living in London). I think it's a great name.

I think that according to the stats it's declining in popularity.

I also know one 11yo Reuben, and many Henrys.

Quite a few of all ages. DH is Irish and our local community has quite a lot of ties . I wanted it if I had a boy . Great name.

I only know one, who'll be in his late 50s or so now. I met one on holiday a few years ago who was 5 - will be about 9 or 10 now. I think it is FANTASTIC name and I suggest it every time there is a thread asking for suggestions for boys' names. That and Amos.
