Names that work in French and English

Hi,
We are looking for girls and boys names that work in France and England as we live in France but are both English. Ideally not too much pronouncation difference - apart from a handful of obvious ones we are stuck! Any ideas please? Thank you!

French names are well received over here, but our idea of French names are a bit old fashioned in French eyes.

Have a look at the current top 100 French names and take it from there. You might have to be a little more conservative with a boys name, but as far as a girls name - go for it!

I have a 3.5yo Elodie in the UK which was very well received.

On my list for DC2 was Camille, Celine, Delphine, Sabine, Meredith, Josephine.

We had a boy. And one name on said list Grin

For boys I like Sebastian as someone posted up thread, Leo and also Louis but that wouldn't have worked for us as that's my name with an E on the end Wink

ooo following this, we're in the same situation....DD1 was easy enough (Elise) but now I'm expecting n°2, and am stuck for inspiration, especially for boys !!
Other girls names I had on my list the last time
Charlotte (maybe not now though....)
Olivia
Zoe
Chloé

I'm picky about the pronunciation thing too, for example I wouldn't go for Louis that could be Loo-is in english and Loo-y in French

I had a friend called Clemence at school that went by Clem. I always liked that. Also Cami, short for Camille is nice.

I would choose Fleur or Amelie (bit cliche I know but still beautiful) for a girl & Olivier for a boy, they are lovely names that would work in both England & France
