DD is named Sienna and I'm struggling to settle on a name for her new brother or sister.
Please help!

Heels99 Thu 23-Apr-15 10:09:09

Do you want to continue the colour theme? Russett, violet, primrose, indigo

Grapelette Thu 23-Apr-15 10:14:37

No, I'm not really keen on colour names.
I do like Florence and Clementine, but there are quite a few at DD's nursery. My mum said that these are too classic to go with Sienna, apparently Sienna is modern!
For a boy I like Max but my cousin has just named her son this sad

Heels99 Thu 23-Apr-15 10:20:10

I had thought sienna colour, but of course could be sienna Italian town so Florence would be good although flo for short is hideous. Get out a map of Italy! Rome for a boy?

Grapelette Thu 23-Apr-15 10:24:36

Ooooo, is Roman an acceptable name? I don't know whether the hormones are getting to me grin
Thank you so much for replying! I agree that Flo isn't a great nickname, but I suppose a nickname will come naturally (hopefully!)

Heels99 Thu 23-Apr-15 10:26:53

I like Roman.
The name that will come naturally to a Florence will be flo, such a shame for such a pretty name but don't lumber your child with Flo!
The are lots of beautiful sounding Italian places lovely theme

Grapelette Thu 23-Apr-15 10:30:59

Wow, Roman is really growing on me!
I do like the name Gabriella also, but do you think that the ending is too samey as Sienna?

pnutter Thu 23-Apr-15 10:31:17

Milo?
Roman is good.
Arlo?
Judd or Jude ..but then you have Sienna And Jude maybe not

Grapelette Thu 23-Apr-15 10:33:26

Haha yes Sienna and Jude do not have the best reputation do they.
Boys names are so hard!
What do we think of Rosie?

pnutter Thu 23-Apr-15 10:36:44

Rosie is sweet or Rosa?

ButterflyOfFreedom Thu 23-Apr-15 10:39:57

My grandmother was a Florence and was always called Florry.

For boys' names, I think Leon would sound really good with Sienna

For girls' names:
Scarlett
Willow
Megan
Tamsyn
Bethan (as above)
Imogen

i.e. names not ending in -a!

I knew a Sienna, whose twin is called Arcadia. I always liked the combination

Variousrandomthings Sun 10-May-15 21:09:34

Florence and Sienna are great together. Both place names!! Florence can be Floss or Florry.

What about Lawrence for a boy. You could call him Law or Laurie.

Georgia would work or Rosa.
