Opinions? My previous short list was:
Anna
Sarah
Alice

Would be a sister for Erin.

Of your shortlist I think Piper is the nicest name, although all of them go well with Erin and are pretty I just prefer more unusual names.

I'm not keen, I much prefer Anna, Sarah and Alice. Piper does go well with Erin though.

I love it, there was a thread about it before and it was torn to shreds I think but I really really like it alot.

I love Piper as a name and know one in my DS's class. She's 8 and I think its more popular over here (US) maybe.

I love Piper. It's a bit of anti-American snobbery that gets MNers backs up about the name, I think.

I prefer all the other name son your short list. Piper to me is on a par with calling your child Plumber. It just sounds odd.

I don't mind Piper. Prefer Anna!

Not keen at all. I much prefer the other names on your list - particularly Alice. Goes well with Erin.

I've never heard of it as a name and would assume it was a boy's name or a surname.

I like Piper a lot, feels like a pretty but not overly girly name. I also like Alice from your list. Anna is nice, but a little generic. Sarah is such an 'I couldn't be arsed to think of a name, this will do" to me. So bland.

Agree that Sarah, Anna and Alice are dull/bland.
Piper has a bit of attitude about it! Go for it.

It goes great with Erin too.

I have a Piper and we love her name and so does everyone else.

I know a boy and a girl Piper - both in the same school of 200 odd pupils - probably a bit of an unusual cluster!

Love, love, love it. But then I am biased as my DC3 is a Piper. It's an old family name for us and goes back several generations with nothing American about it. In the year my child was born there were only 2 Pipers in the name survey for that year. People do comment that it is an unusual name but I've had nothing but positive reactions with it.

Very sweet. And still cool for a teenager. I like it.

Can't get past it being next door's Westie. Sorry.

I'm with squoosh, sounds like calling them Plumber or Roofer... Doesn't sounds like an actual name more like a job, and at a push a boys name not a girls. Interesting that you have such an unusual name in a lost with 3 very common/standard names though, people tend to fall into certain 'camps' of preference.

I like it, and know one (about nine months old). Strangely, I like it said out loud more than written down - it looks a little odd to me in paper, but I love the sound of the name.
