Is seth a hindu name?

Any Hindus (or people in the know), know if the name seth is a hindu name?
From my research I've seen it as a surname and then seen the name sheth as a hindu forename - but I just wanted clarification if it is truly a hindu name or not.
(I am hindu, just not a very good one!)

It's certainly a biblical name...

Yes it is a Hindu name, and surname. Different origins from the biblical Seth.

Getting quite the popular choice here, relatively speaking, the new Elijah

I think of it as being quite a strong Biblical name

Isn't it the name of one of Adam and Eve's sons?

That's not what she asked, steppeing.

The Hindu name has different origins to biblical, Hebrew Seth. You'd think so wouldn't you.

Thanks for your replies.
I know it's a Hebrew/biblical one. Just wanting to know if it's a hindu name as well. If so, anyone knows what it means.
