Hi would love some help with both boy and girl names that go with the surname Brown please!
I have 2 boys Jack and Kenzi.
so far I like Orla Rose and Grayson Philip (Philip is the grandads name)
I like names like Violet but really can't have a colour with the surname Brown sadly!! Any help is really appreciated, thanks.

Gray Brown sounds like a paint colour in b&q. And not an appealing one!

Orla is nice.

My friend has this issue. She ruled out James, Charlie and Newcastle pretty early on ;)

Oh please please please go for Charlie.

What a cool name.

We have the surname Brown, just avoid the initials RC and the middle name May/Mae!

Roxyb1987 Mon 19-Jan-15 18:23:52

I know Rose is a colour but being the middle name I was hoping as normally middle name is just for on paper and not said out loud often it wouldn't be the biggest issue! plus when I hear Rose I think of a flower rather than a colour!
Grey is also a colour but I didn't think it seemed that bad saying Grayson Brown does everyone disagree?
my 9 year old wants to call the baby Hash!!

shakemysilliesout Mon 19-Jan-15 18:50:20

Hash tag brown

Grayson will quite likely be shortened to Gray, which doesn't sound great with Brown. Don't think Rose would be a problem as a middle name though.

For girls I think names ending in an 'a' like

Natalia
Amelia
Michaela

With boys I think names ending in a 'y' like

Bradley
Anthony
Johnny

Is there an Irish connection for Orla or is it from Orla Kiely ? Just thinking about similar names.
Matilda (Tilly ) would be fab with Jack and Kenzi
I love Grayson and also think Gabriel would go well.
