The more I say it, the more I like it.
I think it's lovely and I like it as it's not in the top 200, some opinions when I've sounded it out have been quite negative, Jodie Marsh, chavy etc..

Mn opinions please...

Love it.
You're right it's not high in the popularity charts, makes it more unique.
It's nice to have a name that it's shared by half the class or school or area where you live.
Not weird, not too posh... thumbs up from me!

I quite like it. It's one of those names I thought was impossibly glamorous when I was about 10 years old.

I much prefer it to all that Harriet/Florence malarkey that's everywhere at the moment.

Sorry I don't like it. It was quite a common name in my year at school (im 30) and I grew up in a place where they pronounce it 'jodeh' so that's all I think about when I hear it!

I think it's rather sweet and not at all common nowadays.

No. Jodie is pure 70s/80s to me, and not in a good way. Sisters would be Tammy and Kelly.

I knew a few in the 80s too - I think of it as quite an 80s name. It is quite sweet, but I'm not sure it's quite ready for a return yet. Having said that, Jodie Kidd wears it well - so maybe I'm talking nonsense.

I really like it but i'm another one who thinks names like Margaret/Mabel and Ethel are awful even though they are very popular locally.

I know lots of Jodie's in their mid thirties so it's a very 70's/80's name to me.

Jodie Foster! Yes, great name.

I was at school with one I couldn't stand so it has negative connotations for me. That aside, it's quite a nice name.

Great name!

It's my cousin's name, she's 14. I'm not particularly keen on it but it's very sweet on her.

I think it's a lovely name and I immediately thought of the wonderful Jodie Foster (not Jodie Marsh) when I saw it in your thread title.

I really like it. What about Jody?

manicinsomniac · 10/01/2015 21:38

I like it. And I don't know any younger than mid 20s so it will be nice and original.

My best pal at school was jodie, a beautiful person inside and out. I think it's due a revival!

Not keen on Jodie but Josie is lovely and short for Josephine.

It's of an era like Joanne.

It's terribly dated.

I'd rather a Jodie/ Kelly revival than a Pamela and Barbara revival. Because jodie is 80s it seems more fun to me than Ethel and Mavis.

My friend called her baby Jodie. I can't say I was that keen on it. It does sound a bit dated to my ears.

Ooh no shake Kelly is awful.
