I think we are close to narrowing it down to these two names.

How many Betsy's and Alberts do you know and how old are they?

One of each in DD'S group of toddler friends! Betsy's about 15 months and Albert (Bertie) is 2.5.

Very trendy and will date your baby perfectly since nobody over the age of about 5 will have those names except for the very elderly.

You were going for that, right?

EeekNumber4 Sat 10-Jan-15 16:24:47

Thanks for all your replies.

Skylark2 - I am looking for older names that aren't 'trendy' in the sense that they stand the test of time. I already have Iris, Hetty and Mabel so it needs to fit with those.

Lumptysmum Sat 10-Jan-15 16:33:40

One Albert (Albie) about 2yo and no Betsy's.

I love Albert and wanted my bump to be Bertie, but OH is having none of it. Both names would be lovely with the ones you already have smile

bigfam Sat 10-Jan-15 16:52:43

I like those name, I love old sounding names aswell. I've got a patsy. New addition will be josie, although I love the name Elsie but oh hates x

Betsy is a diminutive of Elizabeth. I think Elizabeth and Albert would work well but as an adult 'Betsy' might not look so impressive in formal settings.

bridgetsmummy Sat 10-Jan-15 17:10:25
