I actually love Peter. I know of none under 35. Definitely would like to hear it more.

Would you like Clementine?

Agatha?
Marrianne?
Sylvie?

Oh good work! I like Peter, hadn't considered that, although it is the name of a friend which would make me think twice. I love Josephine, Adelaide and Caroline. Really don't like Clementine. Marianne is gorgeous but I need to avoid names beginning with M unfortunately.

I have a Matthew and if I had another boy he would probably be Peter. Similar feel and not currently very popular might be Stephen, David, Andrew, Christopher, Michael, Richard, Robert, Nicholas, Timothy.

They're all names relatively common for people in their 30s or 40s but less well used today but I think they are all pretty 'classic'.

Girls more difficult! So many names seem to always remain relatively popular. Mary or Rosemary? Jennifer, Meredith, Anne, Ruth?

You need a top 100 for the 1950s or some Janet and John books! Margaret. Laurence. Roberta. Anyone from St Clare's or Mallory Towers. Gwendolin Mary perhaps?
