Thanks in advance
Just wanted a reaction to help decision

You know beau is masculine, presumably?

ShadowKat Tue 23-Dec-14 09:36:52

Not keen on the River / Luna / Indie / Rain type names.

I like Harriet, Esmeralda and Camille.

fireflynight12390 Tue 23-Dec-14 09:37:16

Yes but I am not french so dont
mind just like the look sound of it

ShadowKat Tue 23-Dec-14 09:37:28

Esme, not Esmeralda. Stupid autocorrect blush

airedailleurs Tue 23-Dec-14 09:38:13

we have quite similar tastes; I really like Ines and Martha, would have used them myself if I'd had more DDs! Quite like Esme, it sounds nice with Rae, which is a lovely, feminine, unusual but-not-too-quirky middle name too.

However, Beau is definitely a boy's name, and not so keen on River or Rain...

fireflynight12390 Tue 23-Dec-14 09:39:16

Haha shadowkat there the names I really like luna

Love harriet

loislines Tue 23-Dec-14 09:39:42

Like Martha, Esme, Camille, Fleur, Harriet. Mirren is really lovely. Not keen on river, rain etc as names. Beau means handsome - very odd for a girl.

Only1scoop Tue 23-Dec-14 09:40:15

Some nice names there ....minus the Beau's n Rae's

kelda Tue 23-Dec-14 09:40:29

There are lots of pretty names on the list, spoilt by adding Rae or Beau to them.

Really like Martha, Harriet, Esme, Luna, Seren.

ChristmasEveSteve Tue 23-Dec-14 09:40:32

Two combinations jump out at me as being fantastic names:

Seren Hermione and Harriet Martha.

PrincessOfChina Tue 23-Dec-14 09:41:05

I know of a Seren Beau. The fact it's masculine enrages me. Why not Seren Belle?

I think River and Rain also sound more masculine.

fireflynight12390 Tue 23-Dec-14 09:41:32

Prefer Rae to Beau anyway so would prob have that as middle name

SunnyL Tue 23-Dec-14 09:44:01

Rain! definitely rain.

your list is a whole pile of names my DH vetoed. go for it!

fireflynight12390 Tue 23-Dec-14 09:45:58

I like less common names and want it to be a bit quirky. Draw the line at spelt correctly but that is all

Think Harriet Martha is beautiful but too sensible for me

kelda Tue 23-Dec-14 09:47:51

There is nothing quirky about Rae - it's a standard 'filler' middle name that adds nothing but an extra syllable to the first name.

fireflynight12390 Tue 23-Dec-14 09:49:40

The new mae???

kelda Tue 23-Dec-14 09:51:31

Yes the new 'Mae' (although Rae has been around a few years already, it's not particulary new))

fireflynight12390 Tue 23-Dec-14 09:55:14

New shortlist

Martha River
Luna Rain
Camille Indie
Hermione Esme
Harriet Fleur
Mirren Ines

fireflynight12390 Tue 23-Dec-14 09:56:03

We have a 3 syllable surname

TheGirlOnTheLanding Tue 23-Dec-14 10:00:18

Of those choices, Mirren Ines would be my favourite. I think a three syllable first name is a bit much with a three syllable surname and I'm not keen on nature names (for no good reason, just not my taste.)

Butterpuff Tue 23-Dec-14 10:01:48

Love Martha, I might steal that one. Harriet has always been a favourite but I called my first car that so Bump might not appreciate. I actually Luna Rain best for sound from your list which surprises me as I am a fan of traditional names.

Oh and I know a baby girl called Beau. Very cute.

Middleagedmotheroftwo Tue 23-Dec-14 10:02:24

Sweden Beau/Belle is a bit of a mixture. Ok if you're French and/or Welsh, but only if.

You can't call a girl Beau though. That's just plain wrong/silly.
