I know loads of Noahs (north London) - so I would pick Mix.

Max by a mile.

Noah has got really, really popular.

Also, I don't like Noah at all, but that's just my irrelevant opinion!

I think I would go with Max too, solely because I know so many Noahs.

They are both lovely names though.

I think we would definitely go with Max if we could find a longer version we could agree on. I think Max on it's own is fine but not great with surname and DS has a long name we sometimes use that is shortened to a common 1 syllable name most of the time so would like to do the same with 'Max' or go for something like Noah that is not commonly shortened.

I personally wouldn't choose either but I much prefer Noah to Max. I've never liked the name Max but I don't really know why.

Maximus?

To be honest, I prefer Noah.

Have you considered Magnus? Same theme as Max!

I am in Germany where every other boy is called Max, so wouldn't ever even consider it. Noah is a lovely name, but it is getting very popular.

I'd go with Max, there are hoards of little Noahs where I live.

Macsen is a classic Welsh name (from the Mabinogion) which shortens nicely to Max

Love Noah but there are so MANY. I am in Germany and my best friend has a Noah, in the USA it just became the No.1 boys name of 2013.

Max and Maximillian are also big in Germany but won't date as much as have always been steadily used. Maxi is a nn here which is cute.

Both are lovely, even though Noah is popular I just love it. DH doesn't though so I have had to take it off my list :(

I don't think Noah will date at all, being a biblical name.
