Boys: like Peter and Daniel
Girls: really like Xanthe (it's on my list for DD). Like Iris but unfortunately very similar to Isis. Tilda reminds me of the brand of rice.

I really like Daniel and Patrick but not too keen on the girls names

I love Patrick and Fern

My favourite from your boys list is Patrick.
I'm not at all keen on Rowan, as it seems a bit dated now.

I like Fern very much.
Not keen on the rest of the list, Matilda has been hugely popular recently, and many of them will get Tilda as a nn, so I wouldn't use it for that reason.

Patrick and Rowan (also like Rohan)
Fern and Iris

Peter! Love it.

Love all your boys names but don't like your girls list at all. Sorry.

Dyliss I strongly dislike

I like all the boy names - if I had to choose, then Patrick.

No so keen on the girl names - but of your list, I like Dilys (usual spelling, surely?) the best.

Pleased to see so many likes for fern! Another vote here. I have one and it really suits her. Seemed quite a serious name when she was newborn and she mostly got called baby fern. She has grown into it totally and we get a lot of compliments.

Daniel - quite like it. Classic and solid
Rowan - love it. Also really like it for a girl.
Peter - it's ok. Another solid, timeless one
Patrick - love it

Dyllis - Is this the same name as Dilys? I see it as old lady but unrevived and really don't like it.
Iris - I really do like this despite it also being old lady. I'm inconsistent I guess.
Fern - not keen. Seems a bit severe to me somehow
Tilda - don't like it as a whole name. I love Matilda though
Xanthe - love it. I have a baby Xanthe and haven't ever met another one.

Rowan or Patrick and Xanthe are my favourites.

I really like Dilys (but would spell it like this). Peter is lovely from your boys list (my DS's middle name).

I like Daniel, Peter & Patrick from your boys list.

I only like Fern from your girls list.

Daniel, Rowan and Patrick are all equally great. Peter much less so, tho still an underused classic - just a bit dull tho.

Please don't use Dyliss - she WILL be nicknamed dildo at school
Tilda just sounds like you can't be bothered saying Matilda.
Xanthe reminds me of A party island and boozy holidays.

Iris and Fern are GORGEOUS!

Rowan and Patrick
Tilda Iris and Fern.

I love all those names!

My only reservations - Daniel seems s lot more "mainstream" that the other names. Tilda always seems like an abbreviation to me.

I love Peter and Patrick. Good solid names. And Iris - feminine but not twee.

Thank you... let battle commence! OH loves Rowan and Iris best, I like Patrick and Fern although I do understand about the sternness. Are any of the other spellings any better?

I don't really think spelling makes a difference to the name as it'll still sound the same but I do know a female Fearne and a male Fern.

They're only babies for a very short time and IMO I'd rather have a serious name that they'll grow into than a cutesy twee name (not that you have any on your list, just in general) they'll outgrow if that makes sense.
