jusdepamplemousse Thu 20-Nov-14 13:36:57

Ernest is fab. Merle is almost cruel. A tough name to style out.

How about Conrad?

Merle makes me think collie dog, I'm afraid.

florascotia Fri 21-Nov-14 18:20:53

Merle is often used as a female name - eg famous ballerina Merle Park. It
means 'blackbird'.

FlipFlippingFlippers Fri 21-Nov-14 19:33:57

What do people think of Eli? It's the only boys name dh has agreed to so far and I'm undecided

tammytoby Sat 22-Nov-14 07:59:48

I would look at Eli and think El-ee or El-i. I think you might prefer it pronounced EEl-i?

northernmummeh Sat 22-Nov-14 08:03:43

Dd was going to be Jesse
I love tot

northernmummeh Sat 22-Nov-14 08:03:51

Love it...

FlipFlippingFlippers Sat 22-Nov-14 14:20:19

Pronounced Eee-lie. Can't make my mind up but it is literally the only name dh likes hmm

mymummademelistentoshitmusic Sat 22-Nov-14 14:21:33

Ernest isn't great. Merle is bloody hideous.
