Toby means penis in Scotland??

Sorry, first timer posting on this topic but am(or maybe was!) strongly considering Toby for first son-to-be and have been reading the many Toby threads that seem to be around today! Certainly the name of the moment!

What puts me off more than anything is that it means penis in Scotland? have googled this and there are quite a few people who seem to confirm it!
I can't saddle a child with this name if it really is used in this way.
Do any other Scottish people confirm this?

I have never heard it used for penis, no. But Scotland has many regional variations so could just be that I have never heard it here on the more civillised east coast

A Toby is someone lovable, caring and stylish.
They are very good friends, and will always be there if you need a shoulder to lean on.
They can be a bit thoughtless at times with their choice of words, though it is rare for them to intentionally hurt you. Unless they dislike you.
Then they can be arrogant and selfish, and greedy and cold.

I've lived and/or worked in Paisley, Greenock, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Aberdeen, Perth, north Perthshire, Dundee, Inverness, Morayshire and the Western Isles- never heard of it and as a psychiatrist I tend to get treated to all the rude words! How have I missed this? Boaby, yes. Toby, wtf?
