Names for blondies

This may sound a bit silly but I would love some opinions on my list of girls names as to whether they would suit a blonde haired or dark haired baby. I have a little girl already who was going to be called jasmine but when she was born with fluffy blonde hair it just didn't suit and we changed her name to paige.
So I like the names Lily, Megan, Katie, Sarah, Harriet and Elizabeth. Please can you say which would suit a blonde girl.
Also any ideas for boys?

Thank you peeps x

I imagine Megan, Lily and Elizabeth with dark hair. I've never met a blonde one although I am sure they must exist!

I always imagine Samuel's to be blonde.

That's all I have for boys.

I always think of Alice as a blonde name, probably because of Alice in Wonderland...

I was born with a shock of dark brown hair but by a year I was blonde - and still am, albeit with a little help. I know quite a few people whose hair changed colour as a baby or toddler...

I think Sarah is the 'blondest' of the names on your list, btw, but that is probably just based on the people I know - my friends called Sarah have mostly had blonde or light brown hair.

Lily always seems a blonde name to me, Megan is a red head, Harriet and Katie are dull brown, Sarah and Elizabeth could be any colour.

Anna always makes me think of Nordic names, so she would be blonde too,a long with astrid, Heidi, etc.

That's funny ali as I imagine lily, Elizabeth and megan to be blonde names.

I don't think it really matters does it? Children grow into their names. My DD1 had jet back hair for the first 6 months of her life and is now a very blonde 5 yr old.

I love all your girl names listed by the way. Re blonde boys names I know a blonde Harry, Jake, Max, Ethan, George, Oliver, Thomas and Samual.

Xanthe means 'blonde haired'.

Lily, Katie and Sarah all form an instant darker haired association for me.
Boys I tend not to have any preconception.

It's all to no avail though because one of mine was born with black hair which turned flaxen around 18 months later, very odd. Hair's now dark blonde.

I live in hope that names are more suited to character rather than appearance really.

Thank you all. I know it's a but silly and that hair colour shouldn't affect name choice but after having my daughter it did seem to make a difference. I think I had jasmine in mind thinking of princess jasmine!

Lily and Megan are blindest to me. I would always think of Finn and Sam as blondes.

Xanthe is Greek for blonde. When dd was born staff all called her that as a nickname and I almost changed my mind as I quite liked it. I think Melissa is a good blonde name with the honey part of it. Also, Lucy meaning light and Aurelia meaning golden.

I'm blonde and my middle name is on your shortlist.

I think Lily and Katie are the most "blonde" names.

For boys, I think Leo would be blonde. And Samuel.

Lily-Blonde
Megan-Blonde
Katie- hmm. Maybe both, mainly brown though.
Sarah- dull as dishwater brown
Harriet- brunette or redhead
and Elizabeth- classic brunette

I have a Megan and she was vaguely a redhead bald as a very small baby, then her hair went white blonde, darkened to 'strawberry-blonde' around puberty and kept getting darker until her hair now (at 18) is a medium auburn brown. I suspect it will continue to darken.
So I'd say that Megan is all of the above. Wink I'd also say that you have no way of knowing what colour their hair will end up.

Completely agree thought I was the only one.

Had Theo or Grayson for a boy, but when a little blonde came out the only option was Theo. Grayson seemed to strong harsh for him. He is now Theo Grayson

Hmm interesting actually.

Dd1 was born with very pink skin and very blonde hair.

I fully expected DD2, born 18.5 months later, to look exactly the same. So I was going to call her Melissa, Nancy or Alice.

She was really dark and had dark hair!! She soon became Willow... (And is v blonde now, oops!)

We had two names picked - one for a dark and one for a fair-haired child. Looked at our tiny baby with dark brown hair and gave her the dark-haired name...I look at her blonde curls now and roll my eyes Grin
