And what does it make you think of in terms of nationality?

I'd probably shorten it to Leo.

It makes me think Italian, Spanish, South American.... Actually it reminds me of that ex-boyfriend of Katie Price, I think he was Argentinian?

Andro, probably. But I wouln't shorten it.
It sounds Brazilian to me.

It reminds me of KP ex, she called him Leo.

It's the Spanish and Portuguese version of Leander (from Ancient Greek Leandros) - so Leo or Andy I suppose.
But often children find their own short versions of their names .... either by trying to say them or as names used by friends once they start school.

Lee or Leo. Italian or Spanish?

NetballHoop Tue 11-Nov-14 23:30:44

Either Leo or Andro and to me it sounds very Latin American. I do quite like it though.

Leo or Lea.

Leo. I have taught a few here in Mexico, was on our list if DD had been a DS!

BlueChampagne Thu 13-Nov-14 21:53:45

It's so lovely I wouldn't shorten it.

NorbertDentressangle Thu 13-Nov-14 21:56:43

If I had to shorten it it would be to Leo but I can imagine other children using Lee.

Nationality-wise I would say Argentinian, Brazilian or Spanish
