Which spelling do you prefer Sophia or Sofia ?

Sophia

Sophia.
I think most people would automatically spell it that way, so if you go Sofia you'll be forever correcting it.

I prefer Sofia, though of course BlueStarsAtNight is right about it being likely to be misspelled.

I would have said Sophia until a few weeks ago but my friends had a little Sofia and I actually think it 'looks' prettier if that makes sense smile

I have a nine year old Sofia, so I prefer that.

I have a Sophia. To me Sofia is a city in Bulgaria, not a little girl.

BathshebaDarkstone Wed 05-Nov-14 19:55:05

Sofia looks softer, so I prefer it. smile

Sofia will be called SOFAYYYA alot (speaking from experience)but is pretty and classic. She will also have her own city. Sophia is too common these days.

Sofia, as then she could be Fia for short, which I love and it feels like a name in its own right. I guess you could be Fia from sophia too but the spellings don't match up.
