I need help before I end up being deported for irrational pregnant rage against DP.

I'm English, he's Mexican so we're looking for a name that can be used and pronounced easily in both countries. All my suggestions, like Eva, Ana, Sofia, are either too popular or 'for really old señoras'. On the other hand, he's coming out with such classics as 'Brenda' and 'Ethel' and even 'Fanny'.

I don't really care about popularity, although I don't really want to have a name that I associate with my great great grandmother. (see Ethel). Can anyone help us?!

I know a Mexican Brenda - she's gorgeous!

How about Ximena? I went through a phase of really wanting this to be my name.

Carmen is lovely.

Don't let him saddle your daughter with a name like FannyGrin

I love Carmen (but then I love the music from that Opera!)
