Baby names

Cora, Cordelia or Iris?

We have a boy name sorted but girls are proving more difficult this time. Choosing DD's name was fine but I can't find one I love as much. DH and I have narrowed it down to:

Cora
Cordelia
Iris

(In my preference order, not his!)

Any thoughts or suggestions? Thx

I liked both Cordelia and Iris for DD1....Cora...no...reminds me of apple core.

Cordelia is the prettier imo but Iris is lovely too.

I like Iris best. Cordelia is next best but I'm not keen on Cora.

Iris or Cordelia. I dislike Cora on its own. You could use Cora as a nickname for Cordelia?

Cora is beautiful.

Cordelia is lovely.

I hate Iris. It's very popular on MN and I have no idea why.

Cora is lovely, really simple but so nice to say. Cordelia is lovely, could be nn Cora, if wanted...or Delia.

Iris on the other hand is too wispy and eyeballish.

I like cordelia. cora doesn't sound quite finished and iris sounds wet and weak to me.

I'd pick Cora or Iris. Cordelia is a bit OTT for me.

I love Cara...

Cordelia! You can always shorten it to Cora - I think that Cora wouldn't pass the 'loud nightclub test'! What?? Core-a

Cordelia is beautiful - I wanted to call dd2 Cordelia but dh didn't like it Sad.

I really like all three. Cora could be a nn for Cordelia so hence going for Cordelia would give you two lovely name possibilities for the price of one (and dont we all love BOGOF deals?)
I also really love Cornelia as you would get the nn possibility of Nell as well as Cora.

Oh! What Lovely names! I love Cora as the nn is Corky so perhaps call her the also lovely Cordelia and use this? But Iris is also lovely and elegant

Cordelia. Very classy name. Cora is a bit short and doesn't really go anywhere. Iris is nice but not as strong as Cordelia.

I love Iris, like Cordelia, and it could be shortened to Cora. What about Coral?

I think Iris is becoming very popular. I prefer Cordelia. Prettier and more unusual. Depends on your thoughts on popularity though.
