Astrid, definitely. I do like Cassia do - it has a very pretty sound - but it feels somehow flimsy and insubsta

Cassia! I know one and it is a really pretty grown up name.

Whoops, posted too soon! Meant to say there's something insubstantial about Cassia. I can see it being pounced on as a 'trendy' name a la Sienna and then dating quite quickly. Astrid is more of a solid choice.

Astrid. I do like Cassia too, but I prefer Kezia (which means Cassia).

Astrid. It would be very high on my list, except I once knew an Astrid who was quite up herself and I didn't like her much, although I loved her name.

Cassia, by far. Lovely name.

Astrid is harsh and faddy.

Think Cassia is one of those name which is becoming increasingly popular and imagine it being like Sharon was when I was younger. Pretty name which I prefer over Astrid though

Cassia!

See when she's born. Both are nice but would suit very different people.

Sorry OP I really dislike Astrid. Makes me think of a German camp counsellor who has stringy blonde hair, wears Birkenstocks and does 1000 laps in the pool each day.

Cassia seems a bit incomplete and it does make me think of Casio electronics.

Why not name her Cassiopeia? A lovely name, Greek origin and very romantic. Then you can shorten to Cass or Cassia etc.

Cassia is a lovely name. Astrid sounds like a name of a space station

Astrid is one of my favourite names, although I like your pronunciation of Cassia better than Cash-uh Smile
