Trying to find a girl's name both DH & I like. We adore the name we chose for DD and are struggling to replicate that again!

DD's name ends in an -ee sound so I think I'd like to avoid that again (though that's not definite). Surname begins with S and ends with N. Keen to avoid names in the top 20-30 in popularity, but don't want anything too "out there". Not a fan of granny-chic or cursor names. MN will be Faith.

Suggestions so far.....
Mila - DH vetoed
Orla - I love this but we have no Irish connection
Cara - DH likes but I can't imagine using it day in, day out
Alana - bit too similar to best friend's name
Francesca - love this but dislike Fran, also too many F's with middle name
Alexandra - nephew is Alexander :(
Arya - have loved this for years after reading Game of Thrones but think the popularity of the TV series has spoiled it a bit for me
Keira - would you think Knightley?

If you love orla then use it, regardless of Irish connection or not. I don't think it matters and it goes well with your chosen middle name.

Orla - like and don't think lack of Irish connection matters particularly if you use the anglicised spelling.
Cara / Carla / Carys / Clara all similar?
Francesca could have NN Frankie or Chesca, could add another MN to avoid the F-F
Arya - not a fan , what about Anya?
Keira = Knightley, sorry.

Thanks for the quick responses. I'm not sure what it is about Orla that still makes me hesitate, though it's good to know people wouldn't find it weird to use it without any Irish family.

Another friend has a Clara and though I like Carys, it would be a bit of a mouthful with our surname.

Any other name suggestions more than welcome!Smile

Chiara? (kee-ar-a) name of a little girl in my DS's class, at first I thought it was a bit close to Kiora (orange drink of my childhood) but it has grown on me.

I love April Rose, I was going to be called that but when I was born two weeks late, in April, my parents decided against it!

I really like Orla and Cara (biased on one), and agree no problem with lack of Irish connection as spelling Anglicised way.

Other suggestions:
Ariana, Kyra, Gaia, Leah, Mara, Nina, Dorothea (Dora/Thea), Zinnia

Kiera :) my dsd3 is called kiera. Have you thought of Ariarna, Arianna, Ayla, Ariadne or arysa instead of arya ?

I do seem to like ones ending in "a" don't I? Smile I'm not set on that, just thinking about something different from the "ee" sound of my DD's name, although I'm not dead set against that.

Arianna is my close friends' DD sadly, DH has vetoed Antonia and Freya/Emilia are beautiful but more popular than I'd like.

Lara, Helena, Ailsa, Leah are all definitely ones to think about. Any further ideas more than welcome!
