I would say so.

What about Isobel/Isadora?

In theory yes but would they be called their full names all the time? I know 2 Gabriella's and they are both known as Gaby. Isabella has all sorts of variations. Gaby and Bella?? Gaby and Izzy? What would you call them?

Isabella would be Bella and Gabriella would be Gabby. I'm not a big fan of Gabby - not sure if it will grow on me...

For some reason I'm now thinking of the cheeky girls think their names were something like that.

pussycatdoll Fri 07-Mar-14 17:28:17

Yes too much
Sorry but I'd think you were a precious family blush

pussycatdoll Fri 07-Mar-14 17:29:40

Not a fan of Gabby either

If you shortened them to Ella and Izzy no, the full versions are a bit much together.

I know a Gabriella and Isabella. It's fine since they have nicknames anyway.

Clearly lots of people think it's a good combo since they're in the top ten twin names in the US.

I would say yes, too much. I do like Gabriella and Isadora suggestion.

soontobeslendergirl Fri 07-Mar-14 19:41:47

Gabrielle and Isabella sound better together - or Gabriella and Isobel depending on which you already have smile

Yes. I would want to have a complete contrast ... like Mary or Ruth or Florence or something.

I know a family who have an Evie and a Genevieve - I find that slightly odd.

Onesleeptillwembley Fri 07-Mar-14 19:48:22

Yes, especially having the same endings.

gilliangoof Fri 07-Mar-14 19:48:56

For me, yes. But if you like them go for it. They are not outlandish names. They are both good names.

squoosh Fri 07-Mar-14 19:49:20

Way too much.

lottieandmia Fri 07-Mar-14 19:51:06

Yes I would say it should be either or. These two names were the final two on my short list for dd3.

Definitely too much.

SoftSheen Fri 07-Mar-14 21:45:47

Yes. What if their separate groups of friends each decide to abbreviate their names to Ella?

looki Fri 07-Mar-14 21:46:28

Yes .
