Thoughts on "Wulfric Arthur"?

We thought about just "Wolf", too, but like the idea that with Wulfric he could go by Wolf or Rick. Thoughts?

I think Arthur Wulfric sounds better - he could still use Wolf or Rick as nn.

I like Arthur but not Wulfric - sorry.

I think if you like the nn Wolf, just go with Wolf. Wulfric could just as easily become Wully (woolly) as Wolf - and do you really want the nn Rick anyway?

Wulfric kinda sounds like "what the f..."

I don't like the 'fric' ending because 'frick' is slang for 'fuck'. And 'Rick' is bad. Why him an Old English name and then use a very eighties nickname? In any case, Wulfric is awful, I'm afraid. It's also apparently a playable character in World of Warcraft.

Arthur is lovely though.

Sorry sounds like a name from a computer game.

Wulfie for short! I like it, but it would be unpopular I think.

Arthur is lovely. Wulfric reminds me of Dumbledore.

Arthur is ok. Wulfric is awful. Might be ok if you are German or something.

I love it and would be overjoyed if DS became BBF with a little Wulfric.

It sounds like a medieval fantasy-adventure TV show to me.

I LOVE Wulfric! But then I like Old English poetry. My opinion might be a bit skewed.

Dislike Arthur.

I think the f and th sounds clash

I also think wulfric is a speech impediment nightmare and it could all hinge on your surname anyway.

If you want wolf just go for wolf. Or just give him it as a nickname. It doesn't have to be on his birth certificate for him to be called that. He may not turn out to suit wolf anyway.

Just remember you are naming an adult who currently is not able to consent. And who may not be the super cool, super confident 6ft4 hunk of manhood you are imagining.

Don't choose a name because you think it makes you look oh so cool and hipster and "individual". You don't have to live with it- your child does. Change your own name if you want to make a statement, and give your child a name he can live comfortably with whatever his future life holds for him.

Prefer Wulfstan

I personally love it, but then I was all ready to call my DC after characters in HP so I'm probably not the best standard to go by!
