How do I make the decision?

I have 2 names and only 1 week left to decide, before I have to register the name.
I am completely torn between two lovely names for my daughter but have absolutely no preference/gut feeling etc for one over the other. The list has been whittled down to 2 and I feel like I have no way of making the final decision.
I am feeling this massive burden to decide and almost want to cry its so frustrating! Whereas with my first dc it was so easy for me and so obvious.

Has anyone felt the same way or been in this situation? Do you have any ideas on how to actually make the choice?
Asking family and friends just gets a mixed reaction for both names.

Help a desperate mum!!

This will be me soon. I have been a nightmare with naming this baby.

Lots of baby names threads seem to feature people putting their choices up here and asking for people's opinions. Would that help - i.e. crowd source your decision?

If not, then you did say you had 2 lovely names and had no way of deciding which is best and family and friends haven't been repulsed by one in particular so it sounds like you're onto 2 winners there. For that reason, perhaps just select (I say select instead of choose since I know you can't "choose") one and stick with it. Put them both in a hat and go with the one that comes out! Or the other one if you pull one out and feel disappointed it wasn't the other one.

Have you done the "would this name suit a 40 year old woman" test? Things like that can sometimes help.

Toss a coin - maybe your reaction will tell you more than you think...

What name would you prefer to be called yourself? Go with that one as it's more 'real' and easier to imagine than an imaginary girl/teenager/student/worker/retiree/pensioner.......

Could you not have both - first name and middle name?

Decide at the registry place. My friend did this, including a middle name that one day before she didn't like. Her dc ended up with a beautiful and much admired name.
