Baby names

Leah or Abigail?

I'm torn between these two, as I only have room for one more name in my top 50, but I love both. Which one do you prefer? Abigail would likely be shortened to Abbie, Leah would stay the same. For MN's I like Abigail Rosalie and Leah Charlotte.

Thank you! :)x

are you pronouncing Leah as Lee-ah? I like Leah better than Abigail

yeah I am :-) I haven't heard of pronouncing Leah any other way tbh.

I'm not going to be much help as I like both equally. Just be aware that she and her friends will find their own shortened versions in the years to come and that will be totally out of your control ... So maybe add that into the decision?

Abigail defiantly, it's such a lovely name and plenty of nm too, not to twee either.

Thanks everyone, I think I'll take Matilda off my list and add them both in :-) I used to love Matilda, but I've stopped feeling it, aha.

What do you all think of Abigail Cosima and Leah Clementine?

I don't think Abigail Cosima go, they're very different types of names to me.

Like Leah Clementine though.

I have a Leah and can recommend it Smile.

I love Cosima. Not so keen on Abigail, I don't really know why- sorry. They definitely don't work together, in my head.

Leah is nice. Clementine is lovely, but I'm not sure if it "goes" with Leah...

I prefer Matilda to Leah and Abigail, tbh.

As an Abby myself (not Abigail) I would say Abbie/Abi/Abby but not Abigail.
