What girls names might we like?

We have three boys names sorted but we are struggling with girls names (keeping sex a surprise and would like 3 names each to go in with). We have girls names but they don't seem quite so perfect as our boy names.

Our surname is Fox.

These are our boys names we have chosen:
Barney Peregrine Fox
Digby Hunter Fox
Teddy Lewin Fox

These are our girls names that aren't quite so perfect:
Briar Juniper Fx
Winter Heidi Fox
Trudy Paige Fox

What might we like?

Fox and Hunter together?

Report
FoxyBecky · 08/02/2014 20:28

AGoodPirate Yes we have thought of that, but Hunter would be a middle name so nobody else would realise. I hope.

Thanks for the suggestions, what do you think of:
Briar Taryn Fox
Tawny Wren Fox
Winter Blythe Fox

Briar Fox is a bit too like Brer Fox of Uncle Remus fame for me.

Tawny Fox and Winter Fox also sounds like characters in a children's book.

If it was me, I would avoid names that could sound like adjectives.

Agree with Mackerel - Briar Fox sounds similar to Brer Fox. And Tawny Fox and Winter Fox sound rather like types of (cruel!) fox-fur.

I like nature-names, and Briar, Tawny and Winter are nice in themselves, but might perhaps be better as middle names when paired with Fox - unless you are very brave and actually WANT to make some sort of quirky statement. If so, good luck!

What about the nature-names Flora and Linnet suggested above? Flora Winter Fox has a nice lilt to it.

I also like Teddy, very much, but Teddy Fox is a bit confusing - to me, it conjures up the image of a rather disturbing stuffed toy. On the other hand, Edward Fox is a well-respected actor and his name is very dignified - and Theodore Fox sounds absolutely splendid!

Vashti Fox - massively cool IMHO, obscure biblical
Conrad Fox pretty cool too

I agree winter is nice but take out the middle name ( as she'd be known ) and you'd have winter fox which sounds like a description of a fox, not a name. Sorry (maybe same for teddy fox- again great name in itself but...)

I like Heidi fox a lot

Ps LOVE Digby

I'd go for Barnaby or Edward, with Barney/Teddy as nickname.

I also think that Winter Fox sounds like a fur coat rather than a person!
