I think we have found our girl names, just thought I'd run it by the nest of vipers gauntlet to make sure I am not making a terrible hormonal mistake.
Eleanor (which is DP's grandmother's name), I like it because it has scope for nns Ellie,Ella,Lea,Leanor,Nora,... as well as being nice in it's full form and having a family connection.
Middle name would be Roisin which is also the name of a family member.

Both names sound lovely together.

I’ve always disliked this name, it sounds harsh to me. But that’s just my opinion, it’s perfectly sensible name just doesn't appeal to me.

Nora is lovely though.

Well gender scan is in and they reckon there are no boy bits and that we are therefore team pink. So Eleanor Roisin it is! Grin

Ah it's a lovely name! Can I just say though it is certainly NOT unusual, at least not where I live - there are millions or Eleanor's and Ellie's!

What's wrong with ellie as a name?

Report
NadiaWadia · 21/02/2014 05:27

Nothing wrong with Ellie, just there are gazillions of them around! Probably because it can also be short for 'Ella' and maybe other names.
