Indie if it's short for something.

But I quite like Heidi too.

Bowlersarm thats my problem , only names I can think of that indie could be short for are india or indigo both of which dh hates.

Oh! I can't think of any others either! India is one of my favourite girls names, but no good if your dh doesn't like it.

But Heidi is fine, so go with that.

I do love Indie think it goes well with dds name too (Lyla), such a tough choice, Dh is happy to leave it up to me so pressure is on,

Heidi...by a country mile.

Definitely Indie. Think it's better as a nickname for India or Indigo than it is as a full name though. Xx

I love Heidi too so Im happy either way , think indie might be a bit too "out" there suppose heidi is safer option.

We have an indira. Usually known as indie (unless causing trouble that warrants her full name!) She is fab Grin

I also love Heidi, but don't have one

Either is nice. But Heidi is a bit more unusual than Indie which is a bit ubiquitous in middle class circles. Heidi is much more original but then you might not want that.

BunnyLebowski · 26/12/2013 21:41

Heidi is in no way original.

Kerry Katona has one.

I really dislike it. It sounds twee.

LCHammer · 26/12/2013 21:44

Heidi is gorgeous.

Route666 · 26/12/2013 21:46

lol apologies LineRunnerliking Indiana too.
Edinbugger I have never met a heidi or Indie , I too want something more original so thats a bonus.
BunnyLebowski honestly the kerry katona thing really put me off at first h convinced me she will be forgoten about soon enough but still.

KK has given all her children pretty names and sensible by any (minor) celebrity standard.

Report
BunnyLebowski · 26/12/2013 21:53

I just think Heidi goes with KK's other daughters name a which are undeniably saccharine and cutesy.

Indie is straight up cool. DP wanted it for DD but I chickened out. It's now back on my list if this baby turns out to be a girl!

Edinbugger · 26/12/2013 21:56

Then you've got a choice. If you hang out with people who consider Kerry Katona to be a relevant cultural reference point then go with Indie. If you don't then go with Heidi. :)
