Opinions please...

S'all right. smile So long as you don't spell it Thizbe (yes I do know someone whose name is Thizbe)

i have taught too many hilarious lessons to y8 boys pretending to stab themselves screaming 'die Thisbe die' to take it seriously I'm afraid!

Also, not if your surname is Wall. Or if you already have a Pyramus.

Makes me think of Bottom et al in Midsummer Night's. Couldn't take it seriously. Sorry

GwendolineMaryLacey Tue 10-Dec-13 16:12:59

You know she's going to be called Frisbee, right?

MolotovCocktail Tue 10-Dec-13 16:13:45

Too much like Frisbee for my liking. Nah.

Immediately made me think Frisbee.

I thought you'd decided on names smile

UpTheFRIGGinDuff Tue 10-Dec-13 16:18:27

She's arrived and none of them suit her.

The ones I like DP doesn't and the ones he likes I don't. sad

The story is just treated so crudely by the mechanicals in msnd that it feels like a comedy name. Circe and phoebe have a similar feel without seeming a joke name.

Oh, what had you come up with so far? And what does she look like then?

ChicksyBurtVonnugget Tue 10-Dec-13 16:22:44

Congratulations! Let us know what you decide, or if you want any more suggestions!

RFLmum Tue 10-Dec-13 16:23:45

Charis? Hermione? Esmeralda? Beatrix? Persephone?

UpTheFRIGGinDuff Tue 10-Dec-13 16:23:55

Hang on,I'm going to start another Fred....

Actually Phoebe would go very nicely with your other two names. smile

UpTheFRIGGinDuff Tue 10-Dec-13 16:36:35

No,it's far to popular.

I know a Thisbe and it is gorgeous! Don't think the mum regrets it at all, often gets comments on how pretty it is.

FrumiousBandersnatch Tue 10-Dec-13 17:14:10

It's lovely as long as you're not in London. 'Fizzbee' is not so pretty.

scaevola Tue 10-Dec-13 17:18:20

If you like Thisbe, what about Mopsa?

NomDeClavier Tue 10-Dec-13 17:51:00

Iphigenie? Nn Ginny. My DH won't let me have it.

Frontdoorstep Tue 10-Dec-13 18:53:50

Sounds like frisbee, sounds like something said by someone with a speech impediment, I'm not even sure how you pronounce it anyway, please tell me?

Kveta Tue 10-Dec-13 20:26:42

have met one, DS called her Frisbee the whole time.
