Something like Freya but not Freya...

I like the Nordic thing, reasonably short and unfussy. But our surname begins with F so I have some reservations about that... Other criteria: not beginning with a vowel, not beginning with 'S'...

Some good ones, thanks. My other two are vowels, that is why I would like to avoid a third one - think it'll be too mulchy a mouthful!! Otherwise I I do love Astrid.

Was going to say Anika, but obviously A is a vowel...

Pippi or Petra maybe?

We liked Freya/Freja though didn't choose it in the end. Other similar names on our lists were:
Ella
Lotta
Maja

Thinking of similar girls names of DDs' friends here (we live in Sweden):
Tilda/Matilda
Stella/Bella
Moa
Meja
Ida
Nova
Novalie
Lova
Lovisa
Märta
Hanna
Linnea
Emma
Klara
Svea

Signe is used here but personally I'd avoid in the UK because people will probably mispronounce.
