What is 'Till' or 'Tilly' a nickname for?

Expecting first dd and DP and I have fallen in love with the name 'Till' but neither of us want to use it as a full first name as we'd rather she had a more 'grown up' name in case she wants when she's older. Don't like Matilda but we're considering Tilda, but are there any other names that Till would be a nickname for?

Clothilda (var: Clothilde, Clotilde, Clotilda - but the latter two never
look quite right to me).

Bathilda

My auntie Mildred is know as Till or Tilly. Mind you she's in her 80's.

You could actually call her anything and still use nn Tilly.
Not that this is a reason, more an interesting observation, but have you ever noticed how v posh people often have a nn totally unrelated to their given name?

I thought Tilly most often used for Matilda but occ for Nathalie/Natalie.
I'm considering using it as a short form for Felicity.....I know, not the nearest abbreviation.....so waiting to see firstly if it is a girl, secondly if it sounds right to call her Tilly when I see her! COmpletely agree re long name on birth cert though.
