littlemisspiggy90 · 01/09/2013 22:08

My best friend is due to give birth to quadruplets in a few days, and doesn't have names yet! The sexes are unknown. Favoured names atm are:
Girls:
Darcy-Leigh
Ariana Rose
Honey Skye
Georgiana (no middle name yet)
Boys:
Oliver James
Alex Robert
Luke (no mn yet)
Daniel (no mn yet)
Opinions/suggestions please?

I like the boys names, but not really the girls names. Not sure they sound in the same category to me. Still, huge congratulations to your friend. How exciting to have four!

I've got an Oliver James, and also a Daniel, whose middle name is Joseph. We also liked George, which might go quite well with Luke, or maybe Henry? What about May to go with Georgiana?

I think the boys' names are great and "go anywhere". The girls' names are IMO very girly and a bit sugary, particularly when there are 4 of them! Wish her luck.

I like the boys names but really dislike the girl's ones - apart from Georgiana and then I prefer Georgina.

The four girls' names don't really go together IMHO. Darcy-Leigh is at one end of the spectrum and Georgiana is at the other. Ariana is lovely & Honey is a bit too much of a dog or teddy bear name.

The boys' names are nice though, except for I wouldn't go for Oliver as every second boy here seems to be Oliver & I'm sick of hearing it!

Are there any other children in the family? I'm not sure what to suggest because the names are all so different, it's hard to gauge what would be to your friend's taste.

She has a daughter already, Freya Evelyn if that's any help? I've been told that I'm not allowed to suggest anything as I told her they should be called Gary, Keith, Alan and Steve regardless of genderWink

Ariana is a beautiful name

I love Darcy but not Leigh. Darcy Rose, maybe? Love Georgiana too - Georgiana Lucy? Georgiana Kate? Or May?

I don't like Oliver James at all. Both great names individually but couldn't stand the reference to that irritating, neurotic, misogynistic loon (my opinion only!) and if reversed it's the luvverly Jamie Oliver.

Switch the names round a bit. Luke Oliver is good. (Agree Ollie is very popular now but that wouldn't bother me. Nothing wrong with popular names. They'll stand out enough already, being quads. Anything that can help them blend in would be good.)

Most of all - good luck to her. And to them. Hope they have some help lined up.

Can't have two girls that end in iana. Looks silly.

surely with quads, their names are the very least of her worries?!

I'm with the majority - I prefer the boys names to the girls. But Darcey (not hyphenated) and Georgiana could be ok.

If she already has a Freya, then how about:-

Isla
Maya
Ava
Evie
Leah

best of luck to her!

The girls' names are dreadful imo, with the exception of Georgiana and maybe Ariana.
The boys' names are much nicer.

How about:
Eden Antoinette
Annabel Elizabeth
Lucy Gabrielle
Mia Larissa

Darcy Leigh is not my cup of tea.

Have to agree with most that the boys names don't seem to 'match' the girls ones. With any luck she will end up a mixture of each gender so will hopefully make it easier! Can't imagine having 4 at the same time, slightly worried about having 4 in total soon lol!

I also prefer Georgia to Georgiana. Other names that 'fit' with Freya I think are;

Alyssa
Ava
Scarlett
Kelsie
Amelie
Elodie
Charlotte
Esme
Eva
Alexa
Keira
Isabella
Carys

Finley
Isaac
Jacob
Lucas
Samuel
Ethan
Aiden
Charlie
Noah
Elliot

I think the girls names are a bit fluffy and wont be appreciated when they are older, as my daughters friend is called Honey and is to embarresed to tell people so uses her middle name!

I agree with the others the boys name are very nice, other names could be:
Scott
Matthew
Fred
Arthur

Good luck with the quads!

darcy-Leigh and Honey Skye are horrid in my view only. The boys names are fine but a bit straight laced maybe. My fantasy quads would be

Girls
Charlotte Amanda
Adwen Constance
Henrietta Maud
Isadora Evelyn

Boys
Arthur Gabriel
Dashiel Harvey
Toby James
Laurence Edward

But I'd be more interested in finding out the name of a good nanny. Ive got a 3 year old and an 11 week old and Quads would actually kill me I think!Grin

I'm not sure that the boys and girls names go that well together. The boys are much more traditional. I do love Oliver James and darcy (but not leigh!) tho x
Other names could be:
Lucas
Alfie
Henry
Louis
Isacc
Evan
Nathaniel
Tobias/Toby
Max
Oscar

Florence
Ruby
Eliza
Isobel
Erin
Phillipa/pippa
Olivia
Ebony
Sophia
Alana
