Not coming up with names with agree on, and Persephone is a hard name to top!

So far we've got Serafina (altho not liking the nn of Sera/Sarah) and Anastasia.

Any other suggestions welcome

Sorry , to clarify - people are always thinking they're being so posh with these names. They're not!

Yes to Calypso.

Hayley? Who is trying to posh?

Hayleyh34 Sun 11-Aug-13 21:51:13

Sorry Exit , don't understand

childcarehell Sun 11-Aug-13 21:52:31

Get out more Hayley!

My kids have plain names, but I've heard them all and cared little.

Hayleyh34 Sun 11-Aug-13 21:53:29

Ummm, don't see why I need to get out more. Jus don't like pretentious names.

LauraChant Sun 11-Aug-13 21:53:53

Hayley, Hayley. So they aren't your sort of names. If we all liked the same names it would be a very dull world and also kind of confusing what with the preponderance of Georges, Alexanders or what have you.

The OP asked for names that are kind of like Persephone. She is getting names that are kind of like Persephone. She didn't say "Please give me posh names."

Hayleyh34 Sun 11-Aug-13 21:54:17

And I'm not the only one on this thread that feels this way wink

ExitPursuedByABear Sun 11-Aug-13 21:55:04

Missed out the word 'be'.

You seem to be implying that people think these names are trying to be posh. And find that amusing. No?

Hayleyh34 Sun 11-Aug-13 21:55:35

Absolutely Laura, so why aren't I entitled to my opinion?

Hayleyh34 Sun 11-Aug-13 21:56:47

Absolutely exit, I just didn't understand your message

childcarehell Sun 11-Aug-13 21:57:20

I dislike these sort of names too, but I'm not naming my own.

You're sounding like a broken record now.

ExitPursuedByABear Sun 11-Aug-13 21:57:24

Yes of course you are. And we all judge. I judge posters with a number in their name.

Graceparkhill Sun 11-Aug-13 21:57:32

Hero, Hermione, Ariana?
I think Persephone is a lovely name by the way.

Hayleyh34 Sun 11-Aug-13 21:58:21

Exactly Exit, we all judge.
