How old ae you and what's the most popular/common name amongst your friends?

I'm in my 40s , so a 70s baby.

Most common name amongst female friends:

Jo - by far. I know loads, all short for Joanne.

Amongst male friends:

Mark.

I'm in my late 30's - just!

The most common name amongst female friends is Lynn - 3 in my immediate circle of friends.

The most common male name - Colin.

Probably easiest to look at the top 20 baby names per year or decade.

I too am a 70s baby and therefore know lots of Sarahs, Jos, Steves, Andys.

I'm 48.
Vicky is the most popular name in our group of 12, then Yvonne.
There is a 5 year +- difference in age with the women I work with and we have several Elaine's and 3 viv's!
I'm the only one with my name both at work and amongst my mates.

Karen, Sharon, Tracey, Debbie, Julie, Jackie, Lisa were the most common ones as I remember,

with a good smattering of Christine, Michelle, Joanne, Elaine, Nicola, Dawn, Claire, Sarah, Fiona, Wendy

I am in my late 30s and the most popular names among my friends from school are: Jane, Sarah, Emily and Rebecca. I have 6 Janes as FB friends, 6 Sarahs, 5 Clare/ Claires, 4 Rebeccas, and 4 Emilys.

For boys there are 3 Simons, 3 Stuarts, 2 James, 2 Andrews, 2 Ians, 2 Pauls, 2 Robs.

I was born late 80s, at school, there was a lot of Lauras, Katie/katherine and Emmas

My dad is mid 40s, all of his friends seem to be called Paul, David and Mark

Most common names for me are Michelle and Natalie.

I was born in the mid 70s and every class in school had a Sarah, Claire, Nicola, Emma, Laura and Catherine. Boys were Mark, Paul, James, Andrew, Steven, Simon, David

Now I seem to meet lots of Sarahs and Kates.
