Yes, I lived next to a Roman. He's 4 now.

...Abramovich

would suggest it's 'popular' in Polish, Czech, Russian countries.. though have family in Eastern Europe and not heard it on any new babies.

I really like the name but didn't know if its too "out there"

LittleMissLucy Wed 29-May-13 17:22:21

Love it also. Not met a child Roman yet.

HappyJoyful Wed 29-May-13 17:23:54

I don't think it's very out there.. many will just assume it's foreign I think, which isn't obviously an issue but something to consider.

I know one born a week ago. I wish I was lying, but she named him after Nicki Minaj.

I think one of Melanie Syke's children might be called Roman, a useful piece of information I am sure u will agree!

JazzAnnNonMouse Wed 29-May-13 23:14:16

dimplebum Wed 29-May-13 23:16:41

IHeartKingThistle Wed 29-May-13 23:17:21

I also know one who is 4. I wonder if 4 of us know 4 different 4 year olds or if we all know the same one!

Manchesterhistorygirl Wed 29-May-13 23:19:11

I know one coming up 6 - he was named after an Italian holiday - they are not of eastern European origin.

I really like it but couldn't use it, wouldn't go with surname, heritage, you name it, but I think it's dashing!
