Quite nice actually

NotTreadingGrapes Sun 05-May-13 16:39:27

Horrible. The ultimate surname name. Also dated.

Awful imho. Sorry.

Nice as a used mn , if you have the right surname it's like a double-barrelled name eg James Harrison Jones

I love it but couldn't have nn Harry as rhymes with my dd's name. I posted on here and it got scathed!!! I went with a diff name but still love Harrison it was just not for my boy grin

Love it! I know a very dapper adult Harrison. I wanted to use it but we know too many baby Harrys

SummersComing1111 Sun 05-May-13 16:45:12

They are thinking Harrison James?

zipzap Sun 05-May-13 16:45:29

Ok but there seem to be a lot of them around at the moment!

Leeds2 Sun 05-May-13 17:49:43

It wouldn't be my choice. I also think it is, or very soon will be, dated.

Fairyloo Sun 05-May-13 17:50:30

Love love love it

forgetmenots Sun 05-May-13 18:02:29

American. (Not that that's a bad thing at all! Just what I assume!)

Badvoc Sun 05-May-13 18:05:15

Like it.

I instantly think Harrison Ford so great name if you want to have your child to be potentially called Indie in the playground and have the indiana jones theme tune sung at them throughout their life lol...but agree with the others,it is very much a surname, not a "proper" first name iyswim...

KitNCaboodle Sun 05-May-13 18:17:24

Not a fan I'm afraid.

JollyOrangeGiant Sun 05-May-13 18:20:00

MooseBeTimeForSpring Sun 05-May-13 19:45:09

My son, 16 months, is a Harrison smile

CPtart Sun 05-May-13 19:53:55

I know one, he's a troublemaker so sort of puts me off.

MySonIsDrivingMeCrazy Sun 05-May-13 19:55:58

It's boring. Like Harry but trying and failing to be different.

At least Edison would make a change! why is Harrison so popular?

Noseynoonoo Sun 05-May-13 20:03:39

There are a few where I live and I always think of it being a surname. I don't understand why you'd use a surname as a Christian name, so for that reason I don't like it.

I do like Harry though, although it is somewhat ubiquitous now.

I like it, considering it as a middle name, although it is a family surname for us. As a first name the child would almost certainly only ever be called Harry.
