When I say the name I say Finley but unsure of which is more common. Or then there is Finlee/Finleigh or am I thinking to much about it?

I'd say Findlay too, from a Scottish perspective though, failing which, Finlay.

I have a finley.... Well hes finn now smile
I chose finley rather than finlay.. Mainly because were not really scottish ( ds is 1/2 english , 1/4 irish and 1/4 scottish) and i wanted it to be finlee rather than finlay and i knew that here down south ppl would pronounce it " lay" if it was spelt like that.

I have a finnley, we never discussed the spelling and both just saw it in out heads like that so stuck with it.. smile

If not that it would have been Findlay.. Only because my dad looked puzzled when I suggested spelling it any other way so I just thought everyone is probably thinking like him smile

Finlay is the traditional Scottish first name spelling, Findlay is the surname spelling. I am scottish but dh is from overseas so we went with Finley to avoid the Fin-lay pronunciation, we call him Fin-lee.
