I know two Donovans. One forty and rather gorgeous, one three and also rather beautiful. I like it.

I think it's lovely. Cool, cute, due for a revival.

BrieMonster Tue 26-Mar-13 19:17:46

Love it and wanted it for my ds but surname is an 'son' so bit too similar. Do it!

ElegantSufficiency Tue 26-Mar-13 19:20:06

It's a sur name. I can just see it over a newsagents or a butchers.

But I like that it could be Don for short. That I like. Actually, can I change my mind? It's grown on me confused

randomimposter Tue 26-Mar-13 21:31:27

Love it and would have used it but it was a bit too "out there" to go with DS1 whose name is very traditional. Plus not wild on Donny or Don as a NN. Have met only one little one recently.

Donovan was ok if you were an 80s pop star apart from that no

anonymosity Wed 27-Mar-13 00:09:43

yes VERY cool.
love it.

anonymosity Wed 27-Mar-13 00:10:25

wasn't there a 60's crooner called Donovan?

Snazzynewyear Wed 27-Mar-13 00:13:34

<hums Hurdy Gurdy Man> I wouldn't have thought of it, but quite like it now you've said. Could shorten to Don a la Don Draper smile
