Baby's initials - am I worrying too much?

Second baby is due next week. If it is a girl she will have two middle names, the second middle name is my mums maiden name.

Her name would be Beatrice Joy Atkins Green
(not actual maiden name or surname but same initials, BJAG...)

Joy is a family name so didn't want to change it.

Do you think the BJ initials will matter or is it last minute panic hormones?

We were also considering Martha as a first name so that could be an option...

Thanks all!

You are overthinking this.

Not much help, but I prefer Martha anyway, and at least then you wouldn't worry.

I think you are over thinking it. When would she ever use her initials but miss out the second middle name? First name, initials, surname gets used. I would do it.

Really don't think it will be an issue. Lovely name too

You're right. Massively overthinking this! We'll go for it :)

Just want baby to arrive now, the longer the pregnancy goes on the more i find to needlessly worry about!

Thanks

I went to school with a girl with BJ initials. She was known as BJ and people (boys) shouted 'bj give us a Bj' a lot

This was a rough inner London school though.

I wanted Murray as a middle name choice for my son. But as we only had agreement on one first name (DH was very fussy!) his initals would have been OMG!

So I changed my mind Smile

LOVE Martha by the way. If my baby had been a girl, that was the name I had chosen.

She'd be BG, BJAG or BJA (if Computer form only allows for 3 initials)

She's only going to be BJ if she chooses to call herself Beatrice-Joy, otherwise second names tend to get forgotten very quickly.

I wouldn't worry.

I would avoid it. I know people who hate their names due to being teased. I would always avoid BJ personally due to teasing potential.

Her initials won't be BJ, it's fine. A lovely name too and prefer it to Martha.
